Internship placement for universities: a host company for your students

This page is for internship coordinators, heads of department and career or ORIC offices looking for internship placement for universities: a registered company that can host your students for a supervised internship and give your department records it can check.

Ezitech Software House, founded in Rawalpindi in 2015, runs its internship onsite or fully remote, so the same placement works for a campus in Islamabad, Mardan or Muzaffarabad. Below is what a placement looks like, what it costs your students, and how to set one up.

Why universities need internship placements now

In September 2025 HEC announced that every undergraduate programme must include at least three credit hours of supervised internship, and encouraged universities to build partnerships with companies, SMEs and public sector organisations to place students.

That turns internships from an option into a graduation requirement for every undergraduate, and it leaves departments with a practical problem: finding enough host organisations that will actually supervise students and produce records the department can grade. Each university still decides how many weeks and hours its credit hours mean, so check your own rule before you agree a placement.

What an internship placement with Ezitech looks like

Departments usually ask a host company for the same few things. This is how each one works in our programme:

What departments usually need How it works at Ezitech
A registered host organisation Ezitech Software House, registered with PSEB as a software exporter, NTN registered with FBR, office #304-B, Amna Plaza, Main Peshawar Road, Rawalpindi
A clear duration Three months on one track, about 25 hours a week
Real, relevant work Students work on live client briefs from our delivery team, in one of 21 tracks such as MERN, Laravel, Flutter, UI/UX, AI and machine learning, data science and digital marketing
Supervision A named mentor reviews each student’s work every week; an AI supervisor on our portal answers questions between reviews and escalates to a person
Evidence of work Each student’s public profile on portal.ezitech.org lists the tasks they completed, with dates
A verifiable completion record A certificate and an experience letter, each with a QR code and ID that resolve on portal.ezitech.org
Access for students outside the city Onsite in Rawalpindi or fully remote, with the same mentor reviews, portal and certificate

Students who need a shorter placement are still covered: a three-month internship is longer than most short requirements. If your rule asks for a specific length, our page on the six week internship explains how that is usually handled.

Four ways to work together

Partnership

Sign an MoU

Ezitech has signed MoUs with NUML and Ibadat International University in Islamabad, and with three software houses. An MoU puts internship placement on a formal footing for your department.

Placement

Place students directly

Your students apply to the internship programme themselves, with your department’s letter or NOC if you require one. The internship letter and NOC templates show the usual paperwork.

Free

Host a campus seminar

Our team travels to universities at no cost to run sessions on current industry practice. Campuses visited so far include Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Hazara University and Gomal University.

Free

On-campus FYP evaluation

Our engineers evaluate final year projects at your campus, and standout students are offered internships and roles. It is free for the university.

How to set up internship placement for your students

  1. Contact us through the partnerships page, on WhatsApp at +92 345 5555396, or at info@ezitech.org.
  2. Share your department’s requirements before students join: the duration your credit hours require, the forms you use and the report format, so both sides agree what students will submit.
  3. Agree the arrangement: an MoU, a seminar or FYP evaluation visit, or simply a list of tracks your students can apply to.
  4. Students apply through the internship programme and choose onsite or remote.
  5. During the internship students keep the weekly reports your department asks for; our weekly report format gives them a template.
  6. At the end your coordinator checks the certificate and experience letter by QR code or ID on portal.ezitech.org, and can see the student’s dated task list. The internship certificate format page explains what a valid certificate contains.

What it costs, stated plainly

Students pay a one-time programme fee of PKR 5,000 for the full three months, not per month, with a full refund if they leave within the first 7 days. There is no stipend and no job guarantee. Campus seminars and on-campus FYP evaluation are free for the university.

We tell departments this up front because fee-based internships deserve scrutiny. The fee pays for the mentors who review the work, the lab and tools, the portal and certification; it does not buy a certificate without the work. The full explanation is on our paid vs free internship page, which you are welcome to share with students.

What your students leave with

  • Three months of supervised work on live client briefs, reviewed weekly by a named mentor.
  • A deployed portfolio project with a live URL, a rewritten CV and a mock technical interview.
  • A certificate and experience letter that any employer or department can verify in seconds.
  • A public record of their completed tasks, with dates, to support the internship report.

So far 1,233 interns have completed the programme and been certified. Summer is the busiest period: the July to September intake is capped at 600 seats across all tracks, so placements for summer are best arranged early. Tracks also run through the rest of the year.

Questions from internship coordinators

Is there a cost to the university?

Campus seminars and on-campus FYP evaluation are free. Students who join the internship pay a one-time programme fee of PKR 5,000 for the full three months, with a 7-day refund.

Does a three-month Ezitech internship meet HEC’s internship requirement?

HEC sets the minimum of three credit hours; each university decides how many weeks and hours that means. Share your rule with us before students start so the placement matches it.

Can students from universities outside Rawalpindi and Islamabad be placed?

Yes. The programme runs fully remote as well as onsite, with the same mentor reviews, portal and certificate.

How does our department verify a student’s internship?

Scan the QR code or enter the ID on the certificate or experience letter at portal.ezitech.org. The student’s public profile also lists completed tasks with dates.

Do students get a stipend or a job?

No stipend, and no job guarantee. Students get supervised work, weekly feedback and verifiable records; some are hired, but that depends on them.

How do we sign an MoU with Ezitech?

Contact us through the partnerships page, on WhatsApp or by email, and tell us what your department needs. Our existing university MoUs are with NUML and Ibadat International University.
