The work

Most cloud breaches start with a setting, not a hack

Open storage, users with too much access and logging that was never switched on cause far more cloud incidents than clever attacks. Finding and fixing those is what the twelve weeks train.

  • 1You get a lab cloud account with realistic mistakes
  • 2You review identity, storage and logging settings
  • 3Your mentor reviews every change before it is applied
  • 4You harden the account and prove it against a benchmark

Cloud and Linux basics are covered in weeks 1 to 3. You do not need prior cloud experience.

01

Identity and access

Designing IAM users, roles and least-privilege policies.

02

Storage permissions

Finding and fixing storage that is open to the world.

03

Logging

Turning on and reading CloudTrail so activity is traceable.

04

CIS Benchmarks

Checking an account against a recognised baseline.

05

Misconfiguration review

Spotting the settings attackers look for first.

06

Network controls

Security groups and keeping services off the public internet.

07

Alerting

Getting notified when something risky changes.

08

Hardening reports

Documenting what you changed and why.

Curriculum

The 12-week cloud security internship plan

Four phases. Each one ends in a deliverable that is reviewed and graded before the next opens.

Foundations

How the cloud is put together.

  • Cloud basics: accounts, regions, services
  • Linux and the command line
  • Shared responsibility: what the provider secures and what you do
  • Reading cloud documentation
Deliverable

A map of the lab account’s services and who can access them.

The capstone

Every intern hardens a cloud account and proves it

You take a lab cloud account with realistic mistakes, fix identity, storage and logging, and show the improvement against a recognised benchmark.

  • Least-privilege identity and access
  • Logging and alerts that would catch misuse
  • A before and after benchmark report

The Ezitech model

What the cloud security internship includes

Three things that make this different from a course you watch on a screen.

Live client briefs

You work on real Ezitech projects with real deadlines and real revision rounds, not recycled practice exercises.

A mentor, not a playlist

Weekly reviews with someone who does this work for a living, plus a team of interns around you to build with.

Portfolio and experience letter

You finish with shipped work you are allowed to show and a letter that says exactly what you delivered.

And you leave with
  • Verified certificate

Issued by Ezitech Institute and verifiable by employers.

  • Experience letter

On company letterhead, stating exactly what you delivered.

  • A hardened account

A lab cloud account secured against a benchmark, with a report.

  • Interview preparation

CV rewrite, portfolio case study and a technical mock interview.

  • A route into the team

Top performers are considered first for paid junior roles.

  • Confidence in review

Twelve weeks of defending your own work to a senior practitioner.

Built for you if

  • You are an undergraduate or fresh graduate in CS, IT, cyber security or networking
  • You are comfortable with Linux and basic networking
  • You want to secure the systems companies actually run on
  • You need a substantial final-year project

Not a fit if

  • You want a certificate without doing the work
  • You cannot give 25 hours a week for 12 weeks
  • You want to avoid documentation and reports
  • You want to skip review and work alone

Talk to the admissions team before you commit twelve weeks.

Contact Ezitech

Do I need an AWS account or a credit card?

No. You work in an Ezitech lab environment. You do not need to pay for any cloud service yourself.

Do I need prior cloud experience?

No. Weeks 1 to 3 cover cloud basics and Linux. You should be comfortable with basic networking and the command line.

Is it remote or onsite?

Hybrid. Onsite days run at the Ezitech office in Rawalpindi for reviews and labs; the rest of the week is remote. Candidates outside Rawalpindi and Islamabad can complete it fully remotely if they attend the weekly review calls.

Is there a fee?

Yes, a one-time fee of PKR 5,000 for three months. There is no stipend. The refund rules are on the internship fee and refund policy page.

Can final-year students apply?

Yes. The capstone can be scoped as a final-year project. Agree the scope with your mentor in week one if your university has a set submission format.

How do I apply?

Register on the Ezitech intern portal, choose the Cyber Security track, and complete the three-step form with your education details and CV. Shortlisted candidates get a short screening call before the intake starts.
