IDM alternative
A fast IDM alternative for Windows and Mac
Many people know Internet Download Manager (IDM) for one thing: downloads that are faster and do not start over. Ezi Download Manager (EDM) by Ezitech does the same jobs, works on Mac as well as Windows, speaks Urdu, and comes with a real license, lifetime updates and local support. No cracks, no patches.
What people want from a download manager, and how EDM does it
Faster downloads
EDM splits each file into parts and downloads up to 32 of them side by side. When one part finishes early, that connection helps with the biggest part left. On the same file and network we measured 9.3 Mbps with 1 connection and 26.2 Mbps with 16.
Resume, never start over
Power cut, Wi-Fi drop, restart or crash: EDM picks up where it stopped, on servers that allow resuming.
Catches browser downloads
The EDM extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox sends downloads to EDM, adds a Download button on videos, and a right-click “Download with EDM”. Extension guide
Video downloads
Save videos from YouTube and 1000+ sites from 144p to 4K, as MP3, or a whole playlist at once, with subtitles. See the YouTube downloader.
Scheduler and speed limiter
Queue downloads for the night, and cap the speed so the rest of the house can still browse.
Clipboard monitor
Copy a link anywhere and EDM offers to download it.

Questions about switching
Is EDM free?
You can try every feature free for 2 days. After that, EDM needs a monthly or lifetime license for 1 PC, which you can buy inside the app. Cracked download managers often carry malware and break with updates; EDM updates itself safely on Windows, and every update is signed by Ezitech.
Does EDM work on Mac?
Yes. EDM runs on macOS 13 or later, on Apple Silicon (M1 to M4) and Intel Macs, with the same features as on Windows.
Can I use EDM and IDM on the same PC?
Yes. Just let only one of them catch browser downloads: turn off the other one’s browser integration or extension.
Does EDM download YouTube videos?
Yes, from 144p up to 4K, as MP3, or a whole playlist at once. Only download videos you own or have permission to download, and respect each site’s terms.
