Nothing passes through Ezitech: the extension only talks to EDM on your own computer (127.0.0.1).

It comes with EDM. After you install EDM, it shows a short guide, or follow the extension setup guide. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. If EDM is closed, your browser simply downloads the file itself.
Every feature, and every future version of EDM for the PC you activate it on, with no monthly payments. On Windows, new versions install themselves.

No. You need internet to download, of course, and to start the trial or activate a key. EDM keeps a signed copy of your license on your PC and refreshes it from time to time when you are online.
Only your license key and an anonymous hash that identifies your PC, so our license server can check your trial or license. There is no account and no analytics. Your downloads, history and settings stay on your PC. Read the privacy policy.

New software is often marked as unknown until it builds a reputation. If SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway.
