Three ways to save a video

  1. Copy the link

Copy the video’s address from the browser. EDM asks “Link copied. Download it?” (clipboard monitor), or paste it into New download.

  2. Or click Download on the video

With the EDM browser extension, a small Download button appears on videos. Right-click a page or link for “Download with EDM”.

  3. Pick the quality

Choose anything from 144p to 4K, or MP3. EDM shows the size of each, downloads video and audio with up to 32 connections, and joins them into one file.

Made for video

  • Up to 4K, 60 fps

EDM prefers H.264 when it is available, so the video plays on every PC, phone and TV. 60 fps videos stay smooth.

  • MP3 from any video

Lectures, podcasts, naats and talks as MP3 at the best quality, for listening on the go.

  • Whole playlists

Paste a playlist link, tick the videos you want, pick one quality for all, and they go into a folder named after the playlist.

  • Subtitles

Save subtitles as an .srt file next to the video, in the languages the video offers.

  • 32 connections per stream

Video and audio download in parallel parts, so big videos finish sooner.

  • Resume

If the internet drops, the download continues from where it stopped.

Does it work on my phone?

No. EDM is a desktop app for Windows 10/11 and macOS 13 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It works together with its browser extension on your computer.
