Frequently asked questions
Do I need a computer science degree to get an IT job in Pakistan?
A degree helps with some employers, but many software houses hire on skills, a portfolio and how you do in a technical interview. Our guide on a CS degree vs a bootcamp compares both routes.
Which programming language should I learn first?
Pick the language of the career you want rather than the most popular one. Web development points to JavaScript, data and AI point to Python, and Android apps point to Kotlin or Flutter. The guide to the best programming language to learn in 2026 goes through each path.
How do I get my first IT job without experience?
Build two or three real projects, write a CV around them, and get supervised work on your record. An internship gives you that record; Ezitech internships run for three months with a one time programme fee of PKR 5,000. See IT internships.
Is it too late to switch to IT after 30?
No. Many people switch in their thirties, usually by moving sideways into a role that uses what they already know. Read switching to a tech career after 30 for a realistic plan.
Practise the role before you apply
Three months of real project work with a mentor, hybrid in Rawalpindi or fully remote, with a certificate and experience letter at the end.
