Career guidance for students: internships, final year projects and your first tech job

This is Ezitech’s free career guidance for students in Pakistan, arranged in the order you will need it: your first internship, the paperwork your university asks for, your final year project from proposal to viva, and the move into your first job.

Every guide here is written by the team that runs our internship programme and visits campuses to evaluate final year projects, so it is based on what we see students get stuck on, not on theory. Start with the stage you are at.

Where are you right now?

Most computer science, software engineering and IT students in Pakistan go through the same five stages. Find yours and read the two guides next to it first.

Internships for students

Final year project guides, from idea to viva

A final year project moves through the same stages in almost every department. These guides follow them in order.

  1. Choose a topic: 70 FYP ideas for 2026, ideas by degree for software engineering, AI, cyber security and IT, or the free FYP idea generator.
  2. Name it well: FYP title examples for CS, SE and IT.
  3. Write the proposal: FYP proposal format.
  4. Find funding if you need hardware or credits: FYP funding in Pakistan, including Ignite NGIRI.
  5. Document it: FYP documentation, chapter by chapter.
  6. Present and defend it: FYP viva questions and the final presentation.

Industrial projects and real industry exposure

An industry-based project, with a real user and real data, is the strongest thing a student can put on a CV. The guide below explains how to ask a company for a problem worth solving, and how to handle supervision and confidentiality.

For universities and placement offices

We work with universities, not just with their students. Ezitech has signed MoUs with NUML and Ibadat International University, and our team visits campuses at no cost to run industry seminars and evaluate final year projects on site, offering internships and roles to standout students.

  • Campuses visited so far include Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Hazara University, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi University Haripur, Gomal University, University of Malakand and Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University in Azad Kashmir.
  • Students can join the internship onsite in Rawalpindi or remotely, so the same programme works for campuses anywhere in Pakistan.
  • Every certificate and experience letter carries a QR code that resolves on our portal, so your department can verify it in seconds.

Placing students for the internship HEC now requires? See internship placement for universities. To arrange a free seminar, an FYP evaluation visit or an MoU, see partnerships and collaborations or our seminars page.

Questions students ask us

Are these career guides free?

Yes. Every guide, template and the FYP idea generator on this page is free to read and use, with no sign-up.

Can students outside Rawalpindi and Islamabad join Ezitech’s internship?

Yes. The programme runs onsite in Rawalpindi or fully remote, with the same mentor reviews, portal and certificate for remote interns.

How much does the Ezitech internship cost?

PKR 5,000 one time for the full three months in Pakistan, not per month, with a full refund if you leave in the first 7 days. There is no stipend and no job guarantee. The paid vs free internship guide explains why.

Can my university partner with Ezitech?

Yes. We sign MoUs with universities and run free campus seminars and on-site FYP evaluations. Details are on the partnerships page.

How can an employer or my department verify an Ezitech certificate?

Scan the QR code or enter the certificate ID on portal.ezitech.org. Each intern’s public profile also lists the tasks they completed, with dates.
