Online internship in Pakistan with certificate

Ezitech runs its three-month IT internship fully online for students anywhere in Pakistan. Same mentor, same live project and the same completion certificate as the onsite interns in Rawalpindi.

Remote internships have a bad name in Pakistan, and mostly it is deserved. A WhatsApp group, a few recorded videos, a task nobody reviews, and a certificate at the end. This page explains how an online internship should actually run, what to check before you join one, and how ours is set up.

What you get online, and what stays the same

Same

A mentor from the delivery team

Not a trainer reading slides. The person reviewing your work is the person who ships client work.

Same

Live project work

You work on a real project, not a practice exercise everyone else also submitted.

Same

Weekly reviews

Your work is critiqued every week, the way a colleague’s would be.

Same

Certificate and experience letter

Issued in the name of a registered software house that has been delivering client work since 2015.

Different

No travel, no hostel

Students from Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Quetta and smaller towns take the same track from home.

Different

You need self discipline

Nobody is sitting beside you. The interns who finish strongest are the ones who keep a fixed daily slot.

Before you join any online internship, check these six things

This list applies to us as much as to anyone else. Ask these questions before you pay or commit three months.

  • Who reviews your work, and how often? If the answer is vague, there is no review. Ask for the reviewer’s role.
  • Is the project real, or a practice task? A practice task with 200 other students is not portfolio material.
  • What exactly does the certificate say? “Participation” is worth less than “completion” with an experience letter that states dates and work done.
  • Can you speak to a past intern? Any serious programme can connect you with one.
  • Is the company a registered business? Check the website, the office address, PSEB registration, and whether a real team is listed.
  • What happens if you fall behind? A programme with no answer to this has no structure.

Some internships in Pakistan are free, some are paid by the company, and some charge a fee. None of those three is automatically a scam, and none is automatically good. What matters is whether someone senior spends time on your work. Ask where that time comes from.

What you need to work remotely

  • A laptop that can run your stack. For web and marketing tracks a modest machine is fine. Machine learning and video work need more.
  • A connection that survives a call. Weekly reviews happen on video. Load shedding is normal and planned around, but a connection that drops every ten minutes will hurt you.
  • A fixed daily slot. Two focused hours a day beats eight hours on a Sunday.
  • Basics of your track. Some JavaScript for MERN, some Python for machine learning. The first two weeks move fast.

Online internship questions

Is the online internship the same as the onsite one?

Yes, in everything that matters: the same track, the same mentor, the same live project, the same reviews and the same certificate. The difference is that reviews happen on video and you are not in the Rawalpindi office.

Can I join from Karachi, Lahore or a small city?

Yes. Remote interns join from all over Pakistan, and the process does not change by city.

Do I get a certificate for an online internship?

You get a completion certificate and an experience letter that states the dates and the work you did. Employers check the issuing company, so the name on it matters more than the design.

How long is it?

Three months, which also covers the six or eight week requirement most university departments set.

Is it free?

There is a programme fee, and the reasoning is explained on the internship programme page. Ask us before applying if anything is unclear.

How many hours a week?

Plan for a consistent daily commitment across the three months rather than occasional long sessions. Your mentor sets the weekly deliverable in the first week.

Will this get me a job?

It gets you a shipped project, a certificate, an experience letter and someone who can speak about your work. No internship anywhere should promise a job, and we do not.
