Six week internship in Pakistan: what your university actually needs

Most computing departments in Pakistan ask for a six or eight week internship with a certificate and a report. This page explains what that requirement really means, what six weeks can and cannot produce, and how a three-month placement covers it.

To be straightforward about our own programme: Ezitech does not run a six week internship. Every track is three months. If your department needs six weeks, a three-month placement satisfies it with room to spare, and you finish with far more to show. If you only have six weeks available, this page still tells you how to use them.

What six weeks buys you, honestly

  Six weeks Three months
Weeks 1 to 2 Setup, tools, first small tasks Setup, tools, first small tasks
Middle Two or three small tasks on someone else’s project Six weeks of real feature work with weekly reviews
End Report and certificate A capstone you own end to end, plus report and certificate
What you can show later Usually a paragraph on the CV A project you can demo and defend in an interview
Covers the university requirement Yes Yes, with margin

The first two weeks are the same in both cases, because setup does not get shorter. That is why six week placements so often end just as the intern becomes useful.

Check these three things in your handbook first

  • Minimum weeks, and whether they must be continuous. Some departments accept split periods, most do not.
  • Which documents they want. Usually a joining or request letter at the start, then a completion certificate and an experience letter at the end. Details are on our certificate page.
  • Report format and deadline. Many departments issue a template. Ours is a fallback: internship report format.

Sort this out before you apply anywhere. Students lose a whole semester because a letter was requested in the last week instead of the first.

If you genuinely only have six weeks

  • Pick a narrow track. “Full stack” in six weeks is a tour. “Build and ship three screens with a real API” is a result.
  • Agree the deliverable on day one. Ask what you should have finished by the last day, and write it down.
  • Keep the weekly log from week one. Task, how, problem and fix. Your report is then already written.
  • Get the documents early. Request the certificate and experience letter in week five, not on the last afternoon.

How our three-month tracks work

One track, one mentor from the delivery team, weekly reviews, and a capstone in the final stretch. Onsite days at the Rawalpindi office near Islamabad, or fully remote from any city in Pakistan. Interns finish with a completion certificate and an experience letter that states dates and work done.

Tracks include MERN stack, Flutter, machine learning, data science, backend, UI and UX and SEO. See all tracks.

Six week internship questions

Does a three month internship satisfy a six week university requirement?

Yes. A longer placement covers a shorter requirement, and the certificate and experience letter state your actual dates. Confirm with your supervisor if your handbook words it unusually.

Does Ezitech offer a six week internship?

No. All tracks are three months, because the first two weeks go into setup and a six week placement ends before the useful part begins.

Can I do six weeks onsite and the rest remotely?

Yes. Many interns mix onsite days with remote work and agree the pattern with their mentor.

Will I get a certificate for a six week internship elsewhere?

Most companies issue one. What matters is whether it is a participation slip or a completion certificate with an experience letter, which is what departments and employers actually read.

Is six weeks enough to learn a stack?

Enough to start it properly with guidance, not enough to be hired on it. Plan for what you will build, not what you will cover.

Next steps

Pick a track and apply, or read the summer 2026 dates. Students applying elsewhere may still find the application letter templates and report format useful. If your department asks for a letter or NOC before you start, use the university internship letter and NOC templates.
