IT internships in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Ezitech runs three-month IT internships on live client projects. The office is in Rawalpindi on Main Peshawar Road, a short drive from Islamabad, and every track can also be done fully remotely if commuting does not suit you.

Islamabad students usually have three options: a large company that takes a handful of interns a year, a training institute that teaches a course and calls it an internship, or a software house that puts you on real work. This page explains what the third one looks like, what the commute involves, and what you should ask before committing three months.

Plenty of Islamabad students start onsite and shift to remote during exam weeks. Tell your mentor in advance and it is not a problem.

Getting here from Islamabad

The office sits on Main Peshawar Road in Rawalpindi, which is one straight route from the southern side of Islamabad and reachable from most sectors without changing more than once. If you live in the far north of Islamabad, be realistic about doing that twice a day for three months. Interns in that situation usually keep one or two onsite days a week and work remotely the rest.

Full address, map and phone number are on the contact page. You are welcome to visit before you apply, which is a reasonable thing to ask of any company offering an internship.

If your department requires an internship

Most computing departments in Islamabad and Rawalpindi ask for six or eight weeks with a letter and a report at the end. A three-month placement covers that with room to spare.

  • You receive a completion certificate and an experience letter with your dates and the work you did.
  • If your university needs the letter addressed to a specific person or in a specific format, tell us at the start rather than at the end.
  • Your capstone project is usually enough material for the internship report, and for many students it becomes the final year project.

What to ask any software house in Islamabad before you join

  • Will I work on a live project or a practice task? Practice tasks do not belong in a portfolio.
  • Who is my mentor, and what do they do here? A reviewer who ships client work is worth more than a full-time trainer.
  • How often is my work reviewed? Weekly is the minimum that changes anything.
  • Is the company registered, and can I visit the office? Both answers should be immediate.
  • What does the certificate actually say? Completion with an experience letter beats a participation slip.

Ezitech has been delivering client work since 2015, is PSEB registered, and the office is open to visit before you commit.

Islamabad internship questions

Is the office in Islamabad or Rawalpindi?

Rawalpindi, on Main Peshawar Road, a short drive from Islamabad. Islamabad students either commute for onsite days or take the internship fully remotely.

Can I do the internship while classes are running?

Yes. Many interns keep one or two onsite days and work remotely around their timetable. Agree the schedule with your mentor in the first week.

Do you take undergraduates?

Yes. Second, third and final year students all join, along with fresh graduates. Second and third year is often the best time, because you finish with a portfolio project before you start applying.

Is it paid?

There is a programme fee rather than a stipend, and the reasoning is set out on the internship programme page. Ask before applying if anything is unclear.

How long is the internship?

Three months, which covers the six or eight week requirement most departments set.

When is the next intake?

Tracks run through the year, and the summer cycle runs July to September. Current dates are on the internship programme page, and details of the summer cycle are on the summer internship 2026 page.
